Diagnostic Report Header Tutorial

When you Log on to your Total Performance Diagnostic Account, the first thing you’ll see is the Diagnostic Report Header.

The HEADER can also be loaded by clicking on the NEW REPORT tab.

There are four HEADER sections: CLIENT, SYSTEM INFORMATION, SYSTEM and REPORT.

How technicians format the Header information doesn’t matter since Total Performance Diagnostic re-formats all HEADER information into UPPER CASE before it appears on the CLIENT REPORT. This formatting feature helps maintains a consistent professional company image.

CLIENT SECTION

The CLIENT section of the HEADER is for entering the clients Name, Address and E-mail information.

The clients NAME is archived for use in locating the Client Report at a later date using the Total Performance Diagnostics’ REPORT LOOKUP feature.

The CITY, STATE and ZIP CODE fields default to the company city, state and zip code that was set up in the COMPANY SETTINGS menu.

If your company operates in multiple cities, states, or zip codes, the information can be altered in the field.

Total Performance Diagnostic e-mails a CLIENT REPORT every time a Worksheet is saved.

NOTE: If you do not wish to e-mail the client report simply leave the E-MAIL ADDRESS field blank.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

The SYSTEM INFORMATION section of the REPORT HEADER serves two functions.

FIRST: The CONDENSER and INDOOR FAN fields are used in SEER REPORT calculations.

SECOND: All the information is archived and available for future use by managers, equipment salesmen and other technicians.

The CONDENSER selections include:

  • SINGLE SPEED
  • TWO SPEED
  • VARIABLE SPEED

The INDOOR FAN selections include:

  • PERMANENT SPLIT CAPACITOR
  • ELECTRONICALLY COMMNICATING MOTORS.

The COOLING selections include:

  • COOLING ONLY
  • HEAT ONLY
  • HEAT/COOL

The HEAT TYPE selections include:

  • HEAT PUMP
  • HEAT PUMP/ ELECTRIC
  • ELECTRIC
  • NATURAL GAS
  • GAS LP
  • GAS CONDENSING FURNACE

SYSTEM SECTION

The SYSTEM section of the REPORT HEADER is used to identify the system being evaluated.

The DESCRIPTION field can be used to enter any MANUFACTURER information and even the location of the system, for homes with multiple systems.

The MODEL and SERIAL NUMBERS can help to further identify the system.

REPORT SECTION

The REPORT section of the REPORT HEADER is used to select the type of evaluation being performed.

The SEER report presents a combined SEER and Cooling Worksheet

The COOLING report presents only the cooling worksheet

The GAS HEAT report presents only the gas heat worksheet

The ELECTRIC HEAT report presents only the electric heat worksheet.

It is possible to combine heating and cooling reports and report worksheets by selecting both a heating and cooling report.
